Adding Sub-Admins & Teachers

How to add sub-admins and teachers in TeacherZone

  • Sub-Admins:
    • Go to members>sub-admins
    • Click "add new"

Tip: add a username (we suggest something you'll remember like FirstInitialLastname + your studio initials [i.e., John Smith and Lucky Music School would be "jsmithlms"]).  Capitalizations are not recognized so feel free to use them or not, your choice.  Then, add a password you'll remember like the word "password" - the person can then log in and change the password to something of their choosing.

Note: sub-admins do not have access to the payroll report or billing functions by default. If you'd like them to access billing functions to help collect and manage customer tuitions...check the "Allow Plan/Store Builder".

  • Teachers:
    • Go to members>teachers
    • Click "add new"

  • "Don't allow schedule changes":
    • This function blocks teachers under a school from making changes to their schedule.  It is a "lock" for studios/admins that manage the schedule for their teachers.
  • "Add substitute teacher":
    • This function is for schools that handle substitutes for their teachers. It turns on the ability for teachers to add/assign their own substitutes.
  • Payroll Wage:
    • This function is the default pay rate for your teachers.
      • If there is a custom rate per lesson/class/group, you may manage that via editing the schedule.  The amount that is plugged in here will default how pay is calculated for the payroll report if there isn't a custom rate.
    • Rate Type:
      • There are three types of pay rates in our system: per lesson, per hour, or percentage of lesson
        • Lesson/Hourly Rate:  Put in the % or $ amount based on how the teacher gets remunerated.

Note: if "per hour" is chosen, the system will automatically calculated how much is owed based on the amount of time a lesson is booked for. For example, if $40 per hour is plugged in and the teacher teaches a 30 minute lesson, the system will calculate that the teacher is owed $20 for that lesson.
