SMS/eMail/Chat
Communication Overview
There are three types of communication in the system:
- Chat / Instant Messaging
- SMS / Texting
- Emailing
Note: If you are emailing for marketing purposes, please use a different marketing platform like My Emma, Constant Contact or Mail Chimp. We don't want our auto-responders hitting spam lists so keep emails to a minimum outside auto-responders.
Chat / Instant Messaging: This is meant as the main way for Teachers to communicate with their students. Safety first especially with minor students...it is imperative that you make TeacherZone the ONLY way that students can communicate with you so that Parents can see what you are discussing. The fun thing about our chat is you can share files, chat with group classes and more. Chats must be initiated by the Teacher the first time (start by saying hi).
SMS / Texting: Mostly used for our auto-reminders this is a great way to remind Students and Parents of lessons and more. Make sure you put in the cell phone for both (no special characters are allowed).
Email: Mostly used for our auto-reminders this is a great way to remind Students and Parents of lessons and more.
