An Overview of Fees on Billing Declines

Curious if there are fees on declined transactions? Allow us to explain.

If a charge declines do I get hit with full processing fee?  

• If a transaction is successfully processed on a credit card, you will be charged a percentage fee. However, there is no percentage fee charged for declined credit card transactions. Instead, you will incur a transaction fee of $0.15 (or a negotiated fee based on your transaction volume).
• It's important to note that ACH transactions do not have declines; instead, if an ACH payment is returned, a fee of $5.00 will be charged.
