Google Meet Video Calling Integration

Connecting Google Meet to TeacherZone.

We now integrate unique Google Meet URL's for online lessons!  

Downloading is not necessary, although Google Meet does provide apps for those who may be interested. For a full tutorial on Google Meet, please click here!  

  • To synchronize Google Meet, sign in as a teacher and navigate to your settings. Click on the option to sync with Google calendar to ensure seamless integration:  

 

Note: If you have previously synced, you must "un-sync" first then "re-sync".  

 

  • You will then see a success message:

 

  • Congratulations, you are now synced!

 

  • After successful synchronization, a Google Meet icon will be displayed for every lesson and class, allowing you to easily switch from an "in-person" to an "online" lesson whenever necessary.

  • Here's where it appears for teachers:
    • For educators and school staff members, it is listed on the weekly and daily schedules:

 

    • Within the teacher's primary dashboard and on each student's individual view:

 

    • TeacherZone's learning or student view dashboard:

 

    • Within the teacher's chat interface for each individual student:

 

      • In the teacher's chat interface, simply click on the "Video Calls" option for a student or class to find listed links for "Zoom," other platforms, as well as scheduled "Google Meet" times and links.

 

  • Here's where it appears for students:
    • On the student's primary dashboard:

 

    • Within the student's chat interface for a teacher or class:

 

    • For students, it is listed on each lesson on the weekly schedule:
