Payment Report Not Matching Daily Deposit Explanations
If you find that the payments report amount does NOT match the daily deposit, there are a few different explanations.
If your daily deposits are not matching the "Payments Report," let us explain why this may be happening:
- TeacherZone payments do not align with the batches because we close our batch earlier, at 3:00pm Pacific time, instead of the usual 11:59pm. This allows us to process and deposit your funds 24 hours faster. As a result, transactions in TeacherZone that occur after 3pm will still have the same date but will be included in the following day's deposit. Because of how this is setup, there are two choices:
- You have the option to maintain the current batch time, which allows you to receive your money faster. However, you can utilize the gateway to reconcile your transactions, as it will provide a detailed breakdown of the exact amounts being deposited.
- If you would prefer to align the TeacherZone batch time with the deposits to ensure a more direct match, we are here to help. Simply send an email to merchantservices@teacherzone.com, and our team will assist you throughout the process.
- The number reflecting in the "total" at the bottom of the payments report is showing the amount that was batched (not necessarily collected). Sometimes, when you have clients/students whose actual payment dates are later than the initial due date (perhaps they didn't have the funds on the due date or their bank is taking longer than usual to settle), the amount that is collected from the student will actually reflect in the daily deposit on the date listed beneath "due date" as that is the actual day that the funds have settled.
