Payroll (Setup and Running)

The TeacherZone payroll report is based on the teacher's pay rate and attendance!

  • Teacher Pay Rates:
    • In TeacherZone, our payroll report defaults to whatever payroll wage "default" rate you have on the Teacher profile or the "custom rate" you have plugged into specific lessons on the schedule.

Note: Payroll wage is the default pay rate for your teachers on their profile. If there is a custom rate per lesson/class/group, you may manage that by editing the lesson directly on the schedule.  Whatever amount that is plugged in here will default how pay is calculated for the payroll report if there isn't a custom rate.

  • Payroll Wage (default rate on a teacher's profile):
    • Rate Type: There are three types of pay rates in our system:
      • Per lesson: this is a flat fee per lesson
      • Per hour: this "hourly" rate will do the math for you based on the length of time of the scheduled lessons, so put in hourly rate. For example: $10 per hour is calculated by our payroll report x .05 for a 30-minute lesson so $5)
      • Percentage of lesson: this rate applies ONLY to lessons with PAID billing plans attached
  • Lesson/Hourly Rate:  Put in the % or $ amount based on how the teacher gets remunerated:

 

  • Custom Pay Wage or Pay Rate: For "custom rates", you want to edit a scheduled event to reflect a custom wage for a class or private lesson.  

Note: DO NOT USE this unless the rate is different than the normal wage on the teacher's profile as this will override any information added there.
